Watched the presidents speech on immigration reform today and heard his outline for what he thinks. All I can say is whatever he is for in this matter, I am against. Let me sum it up... Build the fence, patrol the border, deport lawbreakers that are not US citizens. Simple as that.

I agree with you David. Secure the border before even thinking of any other issues involving immigration. The situation on our southern border is unreal. I stand with Arizona and its right to defend its citizens by attempting to do the job the federal government doesn't want to do.

I agree with both of you. Secure the border first. Everything else regarding immigration comes after that.

Well it looks like the Federal Governments approach to immigration reform is sue Arizona first. I just hope my state pushes thru the same legislation that Arizona did. This is out of control.

It is long past time that we get a real handle on our border(s) situation. We are a country of immigrants. We are also a country of native born citizens. We already allow the largest number of legal immigrants than any other country in the world. Unfortunately, we also seem to allow the largest number of people to illegally immigrate. Now is the time to pick sides. Either you side with native born citizens or you side with illegal immigrants. No gray area.

The only thing the Obama administration will consider doing about enforcing immigration laws is to punish employers that hire illegals. Of course the illegals are allowed to "slip away" and find another place to make a third world homestead claim upon.

Well the Arizona law goes into effect in 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure the left wing and the US Injustice DEpartment will find a Federal JUdge to rule that it can't be implemented until it has ruling of its constitutaionalituy of it.

Judge Susan Bolton is now hearing arguments in the Lawsuits brought by the ACLU, the Federal government and others against the Arizona law SB1070 that is scheduled to go into effect July 29, 2010. She has the power in her hands to grant an injuction, or let the case go to trial or summarily dismiss it. Do the right thing Susan, dismiss the case. Let the law go into effect.

I certainly hope that the Arizona law is enforced. It is one other states need to emulate.

Congratulations Judge Bolton. With your ridiculous ruling today you have made it more advantageous to be a illegal alien in this country, than to be a US Citizen or a resident alien. You are an atrocity as a judge. I feel so sorry for this once great country. We are fast becoming a laughing stock as a soveriegn nation.

Lets give all illegals green cards and a IRS bill for $100,000.00 each to help offset some of the costs of putting up with them. Funds may be paid in pesos or dollars so as there is no hardship.

Its time to start Operation Wetback 2010. Lets have a repeat of the June 17, 1954 operation that was conducted during the Eisenhower administration. It was successful then. It could be again.

I am sick and tired of seeing illegal aliens depicted as law abiding oppressed people. They are first and foremost criminals. Treat them as such.

I'm glad to see that Governor Brewer is still fighting the good fight. Hopefully, she will have enough allies in the right places to prevail in this immigration struggle. Americans need to stand firm and demand foreigners obey our laws.

We don't need immigration reform. We need immigration enforcement.

I am sick and tired of the liberal press in this country giving a free ride to illegals who commit crimes in this country. I would like to see better reporting and followups. We are being trreated like mushrooms by the press in this country. Keep us in the dark and feed us s... Our government can come up with all types of data and statistics, but can't seem to have any reliable databases on illegals. The more we know about the problem the better we can fix it.

Immigration reform starts with a fence. Preferably electrified.

Wait, first deport Obama he can go stay with Bill Richardson and then secure our borders. Obama should be charged as a traitor to our country. Maybe him and his family would like to vacation with the criminal elements he seems to protect. He just wants to give them amesty (sorry) if spelled wrong! FOR THE 2012 ELECTION, so millions of non tax paying, food stamp, medcaid aliens can vote for him. We as Americans must fight a good fight. Guest - Wanda from Florida.

Hard to fight the good fight, when there is so much fraud in our electoral process. In some states an ID is not even required to vote. Give me a break. Most of those states happen to have a large percentage of the population being illegal also. We have to get a handle on this voter fraud. The voting registration rolls must be properly reviewed.
PS. Wanda - Good post

I am in my 50's and nothing that goes on in this country has consistently disturbed me as much as the swarms of illegals infiltrating into our country. My USA is not doomed yet, but the writing is on the wall. Unless we go thru a period of isolationism, we are done as a meaningful society. The melting pot will become 2000 item buffet instead, with each item on the menu demanding its own area and control.

Either we deport all the illegals or we demand reparations from Mexico and all other countries that they are from, for the cost of taking care of them.
